Our Story

Stop in & discover well-made handcrafted jewelry & accessories! All pieces are created in the shop, affectionately referred to as my 'she-shed'. Designs are crafted from glass, natural stone & semi-precious gemstones, pewter & sterling silver. Custom designs & free basic repairs of your costume jewelry can usually be done while you watch.

I begin designs with a general picture in my head then let the materials tell me what they want to be as the design develops. Nearly all work is nickel-free.

We are also a home away from home for Moon Angel Jewelry, one of the original jewelers at the Maryland Renaissance Festival. I'm happy to have been a member of the Moon Angel family for more that 20 years & spend time in the workshop helping to bring those designs to life. Choose from a rainbow of loose gemstones then watch your sterling silver ring, necklace or earrings are set just for you while you watch.

You'll often hear me say "jewelry should not cost the earth" and I truly believe that. With beaded earrings starting at just $5, you can afford to stop in & treat yourself.

Our Roots

It begins with the July 30, 2016 flood. Old Ellicott City is a tight knit community and as residents, we're accustomed to running into one another almost daily. Many of us were displaced, staying with friends, family or county-provided housing outside of Old EC. It would be a few months before we would be allowed to go home and we missed our Main Street family.

Not to be separated, we came together for picnics or just porch sitting at the homes of those who hadn't been affected too badly. As we got to know one another even better, it was soon discovered that hey - - we've got talent!

Many had day jobs & a few were professional artists trying their hand at something totally different. As time passed, nearly all returned to their everyday lives, but the spirit behind our roots is still there.
